At Nolensville Dental, we use the best that modern dental technology has to offer so that our patients can enjoy the excellent dental care they deserve. Dr. Harr and Dr. Baxter use lasers daily to provide our patients with some of the most minimally invasive, cutting edge treatments available in dentistry.

Laser Dentistry

While lasers may sound like something out of science fiction, the word is actually just an acronym that stands for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. Lasers use light energy to precisely remove damaged or unwanted soft tissue.

Our office uses the three high-tech lasers: Fotona Lightwalker®, DIAGNOdent™, PerioLase® MVP-7 which can be used to perform LANAP, a procedure used to treat moderate to severe periodontal disease without reflecting the gum off of the bone.

CEREC® Same-Day Technology

We know how important your time is. That’s why our doctors invested in the CEREC® CAD/CAM technology. CAD and CAM stands for computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing. CEREC® helps us create you a custom, tooth-colored dental restoration like a crown or a filling in one visit. The CEREC® intraoral camera takes a 3D image of your tooth then sends the data to an onsite milling machine to create your custom porcelain restoration. CEREC® means no more temporaries, and no more return visits to get work finished!

TMJ/TMD Treatments

Treatments can range from doing nothing to bite adjustment therapies (Disclusion Time Reduction, Managed Anterior Guidance), laser therapy, splint therapy, botox, surgery, or physical therapy modalities to combine therapies like Trudenta. TruDenta is a drug-free, needle-free, and pain-free system that provides long-lasting pain relief. The life-changing, therapeutic treatments have been effective in patients suffering from the painful symptoms of chronic headaches, migraines, TMJ/TMD, and many other painful conditions.

T-Scan

T-Scan is a device that provides dynamic analysis of the timing of teeth touching together and the relative force of the teeth touching together. This technology has proved to be a much more accurate way to evaluate the way teeth come together over bite ribbon markings. This technology can also be combined with EMG recordings to determine the way the muscles of mastication behave while biting together.

Joint Vibration Analysis

Joint vibration analysis is a device that allows us to quickly and painlessly screen patients for TMJ dysfunction. The results can provide information on the condition of the TMJ.

Intraoral Camera

Do you ever wish you could see inside your own mouth and understand exactly what our doctors have told you about? Well, the intraoral camera can help with that. This miniature video camera offers a high resolution, 40X magnification view of what’s going on in your mouth, so we can help diagnose and craft a treatment plan that is perfect for you. You’ll be amazed at what you can see with this nifty little device.

Digital X-rays

Nowadays, digital X-rays are the norm in dental offices, because they are safer, easier, and more efficient than standard X-rays. This is because digital X-rays emit up to 90% less radiation, are environmentally friendly, and can be viewed and enhanced instantly. When it comes to making a quick and accurate diagnosis, digital is a huge step up from the standard X-ray option. On top of that, digital X-rays are automatically saved to your file and can be accessed easily at any time in the future.
